This kitchen renovation and addition “customized” an existing production- built home. The program included general upgrades, enhancement of light and accommodation of family interaction around the kitchen, informal dining and den spaces.
Special challenges included the exposure of the kitchen to the entry hall to allow light and views through, yet screen the “kitchen” look from the entry. This was solved by the invention of an open, screening storage “tower” with glass shelving, providing an appropriate visual transition from entry to kitchen.
The client is thrilled with their orderly working spaces, light, and unique palette of fine materials and colors. |
